The Bikram 30 Day Challenge – Change your life and transform your practice
Regardless of whether you’re new to Bikram yoga or experienced, building Yoga into your daily or weekly routine will allow you to enjoy all the amazing benefits – physical, mental and emotional. Practicing a 30 Day Challenge will push you to the next level and you will see amazing results. It’s a great way for you to get past your perceived limitations, step out of your comfort zone and see what you can achieve. Enquire at the studio about our next scheduled group challenge.
Interested in our next 30 Day Challenge?
Just register at the studio by putting your name on our Challenge Board and then tick off each day that you come to class.
- You must complete 30 classes in 30 consecutive days.
- You can take days off if you need to and make it up by practicing two classes another day.
- All of the students who complete the 30 days will receive a half price 1 Month Unlimited Pass.
There are always a number of students doing the 30 Day Challenge so you’ll definitely be in good company. Always let the teachers and receptionists know that you’re on the challenge; they are there to help and give you all the support and encouragement you need. When you have completed the Challenge, please email firstname.lastname@example.org, with your full name and challenge completion date to have your name added to the website. We’re going to start a challenge hall of fame so a pic would be great too!
So you’re taking the plunge and joining the challenge? Awesome decision!!! Here are some tips to ensure your success:
Hydrate: Drinking enough water to keep you hydrated for every class is going to be your number one priority for 30 days. If you’re not in the habit of drinking plenty of water, try placing a water bottle on your desk at work, in your car, maybe even on your bedside table. Put them in places you go as a reminder to drink throughout the day or it won’t get done. If you’re hydrated before class you won’t need to drink at all or very little throughout the class.
Release any expectations: All you need to do is breathe, listen and try. Some classes may feel like a breeze, others may test you on new and different levels. This is all part of the process. Just show up. The rest will take care of itself.
Change it up: We are all creatures of habit, so you might have developed a favourite spot in the room. Be fearless and develop your capacity for being comfortable anywhere, try going somewhere new every class until you can walk in, put your mat down and be happy anywhere in the room.
Take it easy honey! Only you truly know how you are feeling, if you’re exhausted from outside stresses, don’t push yourself too hard. Have the most honest class you possibly can, staying very close to your breath and alignment, like Bikram says, “Don’t try hard, try easy.”
Look after yourself: Eat healthy foods, get lots of rest, and soak in a warm Epson bath to relieve achy muscles, maybe even treat yourself to a massage.
Sign in: Even if you booked in online, you still need to scan yourself into class so that we can confirm you made it and keep track of your progress.
And lastly, keep a positive attitude, smile and enjoy your challenge!
